Fall Institute 2025 - Nova Scotia
The GROWW Fall 2025 Institute was held at the Oak Island Resort and Conference Center, Western Shore, NS. Another incredible location for our annual in-person event to welcome the new cohort and promote learning, collaboration, and connections.
Trainees and faculty came from across Canada to gather and share foundational knowledge and methodology on Women’s and Girls’ health.
Over the course of 5 days, 12 sessions and 4 panel discussions were attended by both trainees and faculty with topics ranging from Life Course Epidemiology, Women’s Biology, through to Indigenous Health, Secondary Data Analysis, and Working with Patient Partners.
Midweek, the Cohort and Faculty stepped out from the presentation space to experience some quintessential East Coast sights and history at Peggy’s Cove. Then off to picturesque Lunenberg for opportunities to explore, dine, and chat with new friends and colleagues.

By the end of the week, interdisciplinary networks had formed, and new opportunities lay ahead. The attendees were on their way home with broader knowledge in the women and girls’ health space and continuing their journey with the GROWW program.
