Lauren Kelly

Lauren Kelly, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Manitoba and the Clinical Trials Director for the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba. A Certified Clinical Research Professional, she holds a doctorate in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Western Ontario and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.

Dr. Kelly leads the Clinical Pharmacology Lab, a research program evaluating drug safety and effectiveness in children, during lactation, and in pregnancy. She is also the Scientific Director of the Canadian Childhood Cannabinoid Clinical Trials (C4T) initiative, serving as Principal Investigator on three national trials. She directs IMPaCT, a training platform designed to increase capacity for maternal and pediatric clinical trials across Canada.
